The Porsche 911 Turbo S is a potent car in its own right, but it’s fair to say that the Techart GTstreet R Touring takes things up a notch.

These days, there’s plenty of boutique tuners out there offering stratospheric performance figures and extreme exclusivity, and Techart is one such brand. They’ve been around for ages though – since 1987 to be specific, and they specialize solely in Porsche models, from the Cayenne, to the Taycan, to the 911. The GTstreet R Touring is the company’s take on the Turbo S variant of 992-generation 911 and it’s a mighty machine. Here’s a quick tour of the headline features.

New aero

Let’s start off with the car’s bold new look. Techart has constructed what it believes to be an OEM-grade styling and aero kit for the Turbo S, consisting of 32 individual parts. Visually, the most impressive of those include the new aero-sculpted hood and ducktail rear wing. However, both bumpers have also been heavily reworked with new splitters and trim, and the same attention to detail has been paid to the car’s side profile. The fenders are now wider, with more aggressive ducting, and you can even have aero discs on the wheel rims as an optional extra. Overall, I’d say Techart has done a good job of adding purposeful aerodynamic features and stylistic aggression to the car, without going overboard. It is a ‘Touring’, after all.

Powertrain upgrades

Happily, this kit isn’t all show and no go. In addition to the exterior overhaul, Techart also offers quite substantial performance increases over the stock Turbo S. The ‘entry-level’ package adds 60 horsepower, elevating the total figure up to 710hp. But, if that’s not enough for you, Techart will throw in some improved turbochargers and a new ECU setup, and you’ll be looking at a 800hp with around 700lb ft of torque.

Handily, Techart also enhances the car’s gearbox management system to ensure it can handle all that punch, and the track has also been widened by 30mm at the front/20mm at the rear to help keep the car planted through bends. In this top-tier guise, 0-62mph is dealt with in just 2.5 seconds, and it’ll top out at 350kmh (217mph). In other words, it’ll be rapid.

Bespoke interior

When you’re doing crazy speeds, you might as well do them in comfort, right? Well, again, Techart has got you covered. The GTstreet R Touring features a bespoke interior. The new leather/Alcantara steering wheel and aluminum pedals come as standard, as do the illuminated carbon door entry guards.

Unfortunately, pretty much everything else comes as an optional extra, so you could potentially be staring at an even heftier bill than expected. Speaking of which, a well-equipped example will cost far north of 100,000 euros. If you’ve got that kind of many to throw around though, you’d better be quick – only 25 examples of the Techart GTstreet R Touring are scheduled for production.
