One of the many services we offer is truck lighting repair—in this article, we’ll explain how to check to make sure your truck’s lighting is working correctly. If you notice problems with any part of your lighting system, don’t hesitate to give us a call.
Check Headlights – The first thing you should check when testing your truck lighting is the headlights. You need your headlights to work properly in order to see the road ahead when driving at night or in bad weather. Make sure your headlights provide sufficient illumination—if they are dim, they might need to be replaced, or they might just need to be cleaned. In addition, make sure your headlights come on when they are supposed to by checking both the manual and automatic settings.
Check Taillights – When you inspect your truck lighting, make sure to also test your taillights, including your brake lights. These are just as important as your headlights, as they allow other drivers to see your vehicle in the dark, which in turn allows them to avoid collisions. Make sure to get all the lights on the rear of your truck tested for brightness and functionality, including the white taillights, the red brake lights, and the amber turn signals. In addition, make sure your license plate lights are working.
Check Interior Lights – Lastly, check your interior truck lighting. While you shouldn’t use your interior cabin lights while driving, you should still make sure they work so you can use them when stopped.
